Tasting Notes: The nose starts fresh with white pepper, almonds, vanilla bean and turbinado sugar. It doesn’t tip off the maple finish initially. The nose begins to open up with some light spice, chocolate Cherries and hints of maple fudge. The palate is a sticky bun. Molasses, fresh baked bread and pecans. It’s thick and delightful. Almost addictive as each sip has me returning for more of the sweetness! The back palate brings a pop of leather and black pepper. A nice balance to the front palate. The finish is medium as the black pepper and sweetness dissipate.

About: Seelbach’s Private Reserve is a bespoke independent bottler. We’re dedicated to “unlocking craft spirits.” We believe in patience. We wait for the right barrels to come our way. This release was worth every moment. We combined two unique elements. A rich Kentucky bourbon aged in traditional maple barrels. And a lively Indiana bourbon finished in brûlée-maple barrels. The Kentucky side adds depth and structure. The Indiana side brings caramelized sweetness and a toasted-sugar edge. Together, they form a rich, nostalgic blend. You’ll find notes of maple candy, warm spice, and a silky finish.
