Some men see things as they are and say why? I dream things that never were and ask, “Why not?” This wine is dark and brooding, a wine of elegance, fine and structured tannins, and basically the wine-equivalent of a Wagner piece on a stormy night after unexpectedly making an enormous sum of money.
Cooperage
Aged for 35 months in 100% new French oak. We only use the finest French oak barrique with stave wood that is hand-selected for ultra-tight grain, then air dried for three years before being made into barrels.
Fortunate Son is the newest wine project from critically acclaimed winemaker Jayson Woodbridge of Hundred Acre fame. The wines are sourced from heritage micro-block sites that showcase the quality of the vineyards that are the bedrock of the early history of the Napa Valley.
Each Fortunate Son wine is made with the same meticulous winemaking and farming practices as his flagship wine Hundred Acre. They represent a commitment to quality and craftsmanship that very few wineries in the world can match.
