Ezimit Oro Vine Vranec is the soul of North Macedonian viticulture captured in a bottle. Vranec (pronounced Vran-etz), which translates to “Black Stallion,” is the most important indigenous red grape of the Balkans, known for its power, deep color, and untamed character.
Ezimit Oro Vine Vranec The Bold Spirit of the Balkan Black Stallion.
In the Oro Vine collection, Ezimit presents a Vranec that is both authentic and polished. Grown in the sun-drenched Ovče Pole region, the grapes develop thick skins and high sugar levels, resulting in a wine of extraordinary intensity. This is a wine that commands attention, reflecting the strength and rhythm of the traditional Oro dance.
It pours an almost opaque, deep purple-black—true to its name. The nose is an explosion of dark fruit, featuring concentrated aromas of overripe blackberries, dried plums, and hints of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied and robust, with a rich tannic structure that is softened by the natural sweetness of the ripe fruit. It is a powerful, “ink-like” wine that leaves a lasting impression.
