Product Description: Bernheim Original Barrel Proof Batch #A225 is the latest installment in Heaven Hill’s celebrated wheated whiskey line. Crafted from a unique mashbill of 51% wheat, 37% corn, and 12% malted barley, this Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey offers a bold, full-bodied drinking experience. Bottled uncut and unfiltered at 125.4 proof, Batch A225 reflects the grain-to-glass commitment of the historic Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Bernheim Distillery, operated by Heaven Hill since 1999, is named in honor of Isaac Wolfe Bernheim, a German immigrant who became a successful whiskey pioneer in the late 1800s. Located in the heart of Louisville, Bernheim is one of the largest independent, family-owned distilleries in the U.S. and serves as the primary distilling site for Heaven Hill’s award-winning brands. It was also the first distillery to produce a straight wheat whiskey with a federally recognized designation.
Aged between 7 and 9 years, this expression delivers a complex flavor profile born from its high wheat content and extended barrel aging. It showcases the softer, sweeter nuances of wheat balanced by depth from the charred new oak barrels.
