OAKVILLE RANCH VINEYARD, perched atop the Vaca Mountains at 1,400 feet of elevation at the eastern end of the Oakville sub-appellation, Oakville Ranch is planted in one of the Napa Valley’s most rugged landscapes.

The vineyard has a commanding view over the Napa Valley, and its elevation allows for the unique combination of sun exposure for optimum color. A direct shot to the San Pablo Bay, just a few miles south, offers a cooling ocean breeze during the mornings and afternoons that balances the renowned structure of Oakville. Our organically farmed blocks consist of Cabernet Sauvignon Clones 169 and 7. Two of the most aromatically profound Cabernet clones, their roots are settled in iron rich, eroded sandstone indicative of the site’s volcanic history. These complementary factors in accordance with the elevation, result in small, concentrated berries that produce wines of lushness and minerality.

Our blocks of this pristine vineyard are managed by Phil Coturri, a legendary grape grower whose family first planted grapes in the early sixties. He provides decades of experience and a humble but meticulous approach to the land, allowing us to harvest some of the highest quality fruit in the region.
