PLACE
Pope Valley—the leading source for our Cabernet Sauvignon fruit—is located at a high elevation, with long days of sunlight and very cool evenings. The soil here has high iron content which adds interesting complexity and richness to the wine. We also build upon this with fruit from Alexander Valley in Sonoma County, where Cabernet Sauvignon reigns king.
WINEMAKING
This wine consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, seamlessly blended with a small amount of Merlot, Syrah, and Malbec. After a combination of open and closed-top fermentation, the wine was then aged for twelve months exclusively in French oak.
STYLE
A soulful, full-bodied, bold North Coast style of Cabernet Sauvignon, with solid fruit concentration and round, smooth tannins. This well-balanced wine finishes with a signature stamp of French oak.
